Yacht Design: Studio Sculli Arch.Mauro Sculli Mauro Sculli, chief architect of the StudioSculli, has been working both as yacht designer and project manager for approximately 30 years, either working alone or cooperating with other companies. His main partnerships have been developed with Fontana-Maletto, Giorgetti&Magrini and Wally ,this work has covered sailing boats, racing and classic, sailing and motor yachts of large dimensions. From 1985 up to the present, he has worked as designer on technical projects covering (naval architecture, draftsmanship, technical specifications), exterior and interior design, in this case in conjunction with Alessandra Negrato, his wife, who has been responsible for the interiors of several Wally Yachts (among them Tiketitan, Y3K, Magic Carpet, Tuamata, etc.) and classic yachts, both motor and sailing (S/Y TeVega – now DeVa; M/Y Clementine - Moonen 94’;M/Y Pacha, etc.). With Wally Mauro Sculli was also design team leader for the gas turbine M/Y WallyPower 118’, designer for the Wally Island and the Wally Peninsula. Recently he has been partner designer and design team manager for the WHY 58 (Wally Hermès Yachts, now Wally Hybrid Yachts, etc.). Studio Sculli has recently overseen the interior design of the latest series of the Grand Soleil, 54’, 46’ and 50’ and the concept and construction design of the semi-production furniture for the sun deck accommodations of the new models of the motor yachts of Cantieri di Pisa. The cooperation with Fontana-Maletto for the exterior and interior design of the Dinamica 9.40 RS has renewed a friendship and working relation with architect Claudio Maletto never stopped before. |
